BORSCHT
(Adele’s Baba’s recipe…..or my mom’s cousin’s Baba’s recipe, or my Baba’s sister-in-law’s recipe…..)
8 medium beets
2 c carrots
1 ½ c onion
3 c potato
approx. 2 tbsp lemon juice
1 can tomatoes
4 c cabbage
1 c celery
salt & pepper
dill to taste
Place cut up beets & diced carrots in 3 lt. water.
Partially cook chopped onion in butter or olive oil.
